HOUSTON -Betsy Ayala was overweight, depressed and desperately trying to shed some pounds three years ago. She said that after her daughter she had been around 262 to 265 lbs.
On top of that depression, she found out that her husband was cheating on her. Betsy found out about her husband’s affair after reading a message between him and the woman he had an affair.
“They were talking about my weight. They talked about me in a nasty way,” she says in the video. “That’s what really hurt.”
She was angry at first, but then Betsy used the anger as a motivation to lose weight.
Betsy Ayala became an inspiration for thousands. Her body transformation is pretty stunning and the photos on her Instagram profile are very motivating.
Today Betsy is 103 pounds down and she is currently working as a wellness coach. She says that she is completely different person now, both physically and mentally.
Betsy said that she remained good friend with her ex-husband and that there are no hard feelings. His unfaithfulness triggered her massive weight loss, but her true motivation was her little girl.
“What am I going to do for her? How am I going to move forward for her?” she said.
This Insta-famous weight loss mommy shared five tips that have helped her to lose so much weight and keep it off:
1.Be consistent when it comes to your weight loss plan.
Betsy says that it’s very important to stick to the weight loss plan. She believes that many people quit after couple of days because they don’t see immediate results.
2. Eat healthy and educate yourself when it comes to nutrition.
Healthy food is very important for weight loss.”80 percent of being fit and losing weight is what you are putting in your body,” she said.
3. Get active and moving.
There is no result without exercising. “I work out 6 days a week, hour or hour and a half, a combination of things — dance classes, I coach boot camp, [go to] the gym [and do some] weight lifting,” she said.
4. Find a good support system, whether it’s a friend or another group on a weight loss journey.
No matter what you do, it’s very important to have support, especially when you try to lose weight.
5. Focus on why you began the journey, and use that to motivate you and push you forward.
Motivation is the thing that will keep you going. “Where you are at the moment doesn’t mean that’s where you will be five years or three years from now,” she said.
