How to Get Rid Of The Flu Fast – Recipe

How-to-Get-Rid-Of-The-Flu-Fast

Whenever I start feeling bad and think I’m getting ill, first thing I always think of is to search for the fastest way to get rid of the flu.

The answer is actually never simple and clear. The first flu symptoms appeared on Thursday: headache, body pains and lack of energy.

By Saturday I had a feeling that I’m knocking on deaths door. I already had made big shopping plan for the Sunday to come, so I didn’t had time to spend it fighting with the flu.

This forced me to take measures on my own so I did a DIY Detox Bath.

DIY DETOX Bath

It is very simple for you to prepare a detox bath and you probably have all the necessary ingredients for it lying around your house:

  • 1 – 2 cups of Epsom salts
  • 1 cup of Baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered ginger (ginger root is the best choice, if you feel like having the energy to cut it up)
  • ½ cup of sea salt

Your bath water should be as hot as you can stand it. After pouring the ingredients into the bath soak in it for around 40 minutes.

As I have heard the first 20 minutes are to detoxify and the second to allow your skin to absorbs the minerals in the water.

Because you will be perspiring quite well during this time make sure to hydrate yourself. I drank a total of 5 glasses from start until after the bath.

It is very probable that you will feel light headed after so make sure you get out of the tub very slowly.  After finishing it, wrap yourself with a towel and dress up in a robe.

I even cuddled up with blanket on the couch afterwards, as I’m sure you want to feel at least an hour or so warm and keep sweating it out.

A very important thing NOT TO DO is put some lotion or other similar hygiene product on your skin or eat something right after this. You should let your body do its thing at least in that one hour.

The detox bath did a great job for me, I didn’t feel sufficiently well but still ok enough to eat a pizza for dinner or be a part of that 12 hour Sunday shopping I mentioned.
