The fruit in question here is actually unfamiliar and unexploited. Many Americans are unaware of the existence of this fruit and yet it grows wild in 26 countries in the USA. We are talking about the fruit pawpaw.

This unique fruit belongs to the country of America and American Indians were responsible for spreading it across eastern USA. It grows in humid continental climate and you can rarely find it near the Atlantic or the Gulf coasts.

The most successful pawpaw fruits are found in California and Pacific Northwest, where the climate is humid. Pawpaw is sensitive to dry lands and that’s why the possibilities of growing it in such places are rather impossible.

It can grow from warm temperatures to the colder areas.
