You can firm up your butt on the reg, but would you like to firm up other things below your belt? Some girls are interested in it, and they usually try to find a magic formula too.

The truth is, the most recent trend in cosmetic surgery involves – sculpting your female bits.

And Labiaplasty is creating hype these days in the market, especially in celebrities. Many women are curious about it and want to give their vaginal lips a stunning look.

So, as we interviewed a cosmetic surgeon Reinblatt from Icahn Med school at Mount Sinai, she guided us about its importance and how this craze is touching the heights of the cosmetic surgery market these days in the USA.

What is Labiaplasty?

Labiaplasty - a surgery that basically reduces the size of the vagina's lips - is the fastest thriving trend in the market, said Maura Reinblatt, M.D., and mentor of cosmetic and reconstructive surgical treatment at the Icahn Med school at Mount Sinai. "Every year, a growing number of women of all ages are curious about it," she added.

The analysis: The American Society for Aesthetic Cosmetic Surgery reports that in 2015, 7,745 girls went under the knife for labiaplasty in the USA; 12 months before, this number was 6,535.

Well, that does not seem like a massive boost. Almost nine years back there was a very small number of people who wanted to sculpt their body parts, but now the surgical industry has been flourished, and it’s dealing with a large number of people today who want to change their looks.

The vast majority of women of all ages are looking for more shapely lips for aesthetic reasons. In some cases, labiaplasty is clinically necessary if the vaginal canal disrupts day-to-day routines or triggers soreness.

But here is one thing: Labiaplasty is not earmarked to porn celebrities or people who want to look like Barbie dolls. Reinblatt says that she meets every kind of woman today, and all of them have different concerns, some want to firm their lips up because they don't want their vaginal lips to get dangled while they walk and some have concerns when they ride a bike for workouts.

Most of the time women want to know about labiaplasty because they don't want to look awkward in their tights during a workout. (1)

So, What Does Labiaplasty Involve?

Generally, there are a couple of important methods to perform in surgical treatment.

Reinblatt clarifies that wedge removal is usually the removal of tissue. This tissue is placed on the other edge of the lips if necessary for firmness. The doctor usually takes a triangular shape skin piece.

This actually depends on elements such as your body structure and exactly what your specific problems are, Reinblatt says.

Usually, whenever you want to get your vaginal lips firmed up, this won’t happen on the very first day, sometimes it takes the time, or in some cases, you are not deemed fit to have this surgical procedure.

More often than not, the treatment is usually done with local sedation, complete in almost an hour, and results in hardly any scarring damage.

Now, what about the recovery? "We normally tell people to take a long weekend break," she added. It may be 2 or 3 weeks until you start your physical exercise (bummer) and 4 to 6 before sexual intercourse.

Labiaplasty is normally not covered by healthcare insurance. This means it will cost you around $3,500 to $6,500.

However, the end result generally makes sense, says Reinblatt: "When they have it successfully done, people say they're happy, and it gives them a lot more self-confidence.” (2)

Bottom Line

The truth of the matter? Labiaplasty may not work for you.

We can do lots of other things with 6K in the bank rather than considering this type of surgery. In clear words, do your homework before getting into anything, shop around and get information as much as you can. If you are in Utah and searching for the best Utah cosmetic surgery and medical spa in a google search, then there will be many companies on the list along with their specific details.
