A fit, shaped and toned body is not only essential to look physically attractive, but it is also critical from a health point of view. Even if you are comfortable in your skin and have embraced your body, flexibility, strength and toning your muscles is important because there will be a point when your bones will not be able to carry the weight of your body. Many men and women today face chronic backaches and knee pains because of their body weight. A good fitness routine can help you deal with that issue quickly.

Although it sounds easy when you come to think of a fitness routine to lose your weight, many people still find it too much of a luxury to take out time and go to a fitness center for a workout. With household responsibilities and work or study pressure topped by the time consumed during the commute keeps many people away from joining a health club on a regular basis.

The same applies to mothers who have a tight schedule with young kids managing along with other responsibilities. The good news is that a hectic routine is no more an excuse to ditch a toned body. By tweaking up your lifestyle and habits and investing in some home gym gear, you can quickly achieve your weight loss goals without taking out time to go to gyms.

Fix Your Eating Habits

No matter how busy you are, you will take out time to eat your meals anyway. So when you are eating, it is better to eat healthy and clean. Do not starve yourself. It will eat up your energy, affect your efficiency to work, and will not produce any useful results health-wise. Instead, change your meal plans and times. Have an early breakfast and a filling one. Granola bars and boiled eggs are great breakfast options.

Replace white bread, rice, and sugar with brown. Add more fruits and green vegetables to your diet. Instead of eating excess at a single time, divide your meals into portions and eat every two to three hours. That way your body will not feel hungry. If you need to snack, wheat cookies, fruits and raw vegetables such as carrots are your best bet. Make sure you do not have your last meal later than eight. Avoid rice and bread in dinner and cut down the use of oil to a bare minimum.

Increase Physical Movement

Since you are not giving dedicated time to fitness training, find out ways to increase your muscle movement. Take breaks from your desk and do basic exercises such as a short 10-minute brisk walk in the corridor or sit-ups, lunges or planks in.

Three rounds of 10 minutes each means you have completed a 30-minute workout. Walk whenever and wherever you can. If you can use a bicycle to commute instead of a car. Avoid using escalators and elevators and use the staircase instead.

Invest in a Home Gym

Getting a few workout types of equipment for your home and office would be a great solution to going to the gym. You can use your breaks at work or time at home to work out without compromising on other commitments. Although treadmills are expensive and take more space, ellipticals are great automated equipment to tone your muscle.

If you cannot spend a considerable amount, some great compact-sized ellipticals is budget friendly and have features such as a pulse rate monitor, calorie counter, etc. A quick online search will help you find some of the best elliptical machines on the market.
