You cannot call yourself physically fit if you are not mentally fit. Mental health plays a crucial role in all aspects of fitness and strength training. Mental health and strength training go hand in hand. They are interdependent and cannot thrive without each other. Lacey Taylor speaks of her challenging days and vouches that it was the right combination of physical and mental fitness that made her strong and resilient.

Her experience in understanding the health benefits of mental health, which comes with her experience in strength training, has made her incorporate it into her coaching. Mental health is huge for Lacey, and for someone who has battled depression and anxiety, she has empathy and understanding for all the people suffering from them. From her personal experiences, Lacey is aware that when physical health fails, so does mental health and vice versa.

Mental Health is Health – Start Small and Stay Consistent

Lacey is of the view that people do not get tired because of their age; they get tired sooner because of their choices. She feels the best thing you can do for your body is to exercise as an antidepressant. Exercising is the best way to elevate your mood, build confidence, improve sleep, and reduce stress. According to her, it will do wonders for your mental health and healing process. Using movement as medicine has been one of the powerful choices Lacey made in her life. It is all about feeling alive.

Some movements, such as walking outdoors, fresh air, sunshine, and exercise, can all help you feel more connected with your body. Lacey recommends taking baby steps and stresses the importance of consistency and discipline. She encourages people to create healthy habits for themselves. All of it plays an important role in the mental health and wellness equation.

Lacey’s mission is to encourage, empower, and motivate women and see them grow strong and overcome challenges. She hopes to teach them about the benefits of exercise and motivate them to take care of themselves. Lacey intends to deal with these women with empathy, and her authenticity is refreshing.

Lacey wants to change the narrative that strength training is also for women over 30. She feels it is the best way to reclaim their confidence, energy, and sense of self. It should be like therapy. It is never too late to start, and doing strength training has no age limit. She feels you just need to start.

Lacey loves helping people and seeing them grow strong and overcome challenges. She wants to continue doing that and teach them about the benefits of exercise. She wants to grow her social media community so that she can reach out to more women. Her ideal client is a woman who wants real, lasting change and is committed to putting in the effort and work. Lacey feels there is nothing more rewarding than seeing someone get stronger, not only physically but also mentally.

Lacey’s personal story is proof that healing can look like motion. She gives hope to women going through challenging situations that healing is possible. Lacey tailors her programs to make them effective and tough for her clients because she feels that way, they become strong, mentally and physically. She uses pain and struggle as their power to make them feel stronger. And use it as a drive to improve themselves.

Sometimes, it can be like gliding through the pain and finally discovering happiness and freedom. And she rightfully says, ‘Get your confidence, concentrate on your progress instead of being perfect.
