Herbal Marijuana Tea

You may drink herbal tea for its wonderful flavours or you may drink it for its health benefits.  Either way, marijuana-infused herbal tea is the best. If you’re looking for the health benefits of drinking cannabis herbal tea, you’re in luck.  Although the effects of the tea take some time, they last much longer than if you smoke, eat or vape with a herb vaporizer (4-8 hours).  Furthermore, marijuana herbal tea is a much milder, soft euphoric effect, giving you the ability to be functional and productive throughout the day without feeling “stoned”.

3 Ways to Make Marijuana Tea

There are three conventional ways to make marijuana tea:

  1. Infusion of dry flowers and water
  2. A mixture of cannabis and fat (like cannabutter)
  3. A mixture of tea and an alcohol-based extraction, usually a tincture

Using any of these methods of making marijuana herbal tea will get you the results and benefits you want and need.  The infusion of dry flowers and water gives you a light tea, whereas the mixture of cannabis and fat gives you a latte-type of drink.  Although these methods produce teas that take a while to take effect (30-90 minutes), the mixture of tea and a tincture only takes 15 minutes.

5 Health Reasons for Drinking Marijuana Herbal Tea

1. Pain relief

Pain relief is the top reason people use marijuana for its health benefits.  When you consume marijuana and feel the THC’s effects, if you’re in pain, your pain will subside.  This is extremely beneficial for people with pain disorders, such as fibromyalgia.

2. Autoimmune disorders

There are five autoimmune disorders that can benefit from marijuana herbal tea because of its anti-inflammatory properties.  They are: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Celiac Disease, Fibromyalgia, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, and Diabetes Type 2. In these cases, it’s the CBD that is providing the health benefits because CBD helps the immune system by allowing the body’s self-defense system to recognize the difference between normal anatomy and foreign bodies.

3. Neuroprotective effect

Research has shown that age-related cognitive decline, as in the case of Alzheimer's, can be slowed down.

4. Depression and anxiety

Marijuana-infused tea is known to be a natural anti-depressant and anti-anxiety.  It helps address the issue of missing neurotransmitters, like serotonin.

5. Digestive Health

When you drink cannabis tea, the cannabinoids go straight to the digestive tract, which can aid in constipation, diarrhoea, cramping and acid reflux.

Marijuana herbal teas are a great way to get and feel healthy every day of your life.  People with certain ailments, such as pain, depression and anxiety, can use cannabis teas for their health benefits and effects.  There are many cannabis herbal tea recipes for these various ailments.
